As part of my final year at University, we were given the brief to redesign a failed product for a contemporary audience.

I decided to focus my project on Pepsi Crystal. The product was a clear/transparent version of Pepsi cola. Originally released in 1992, the product flopped, personally, I believe this to be a result of the surreal launch campaign, which held very little relevance to the product itself. 

​

I felt that a new campaign for a contemporary audience would have to play on the nostalgia of older audiences, yet balance it with a minimalist style, to appeal toward younger audiences.

​

The final products are a stylistic combination of Memphis Design, Minimalism with elements inspired by SynthWave.
